In past years, I always wanted to do something that could benefit others and help inspire people to do great things. I had an idea of making a youtube channel, but I haven’t got around to it. When the new year began, I had this idea of writing a blog but was very hesitant because I felt my writing won’t be good enough. I remember thinking I won’t be able to write content that would interest and inspire others. I also feared revealing too much about myself, where people will judge and see me differently. When I look back at all the blogs I have done, I have written many personal thoughts, which to this day, I still feel nervous talking about it. However, I took a risk and decided to start writing the first blog. Three months ago, I wrote a blog on “Toxic Social Media Culture.” At the time, I did not know what to expect and thought I would only get a few people to read it. The blog ended up doing very well, and a lot more people read it than I expected. My first blog received 100 views, which was very shocking to me and a very nice surprise. I felt that I cannot stop there and should keep on posting more content. I have gotten so many positive direct messages and comments on the blogs I have made (so far) and became very motivated to write more.
However, there had been times I wanted to quit blogging and wasn’t motivated to continue. As many of you know, I am currently a college student at Misericordia University. There were many times during the semester when my schedule kept me from finding the right time to blog. While running track and keeping up with my school work, I was having trouble managing my time writing while handling my other responsibilities. I did not want this blog to be another thing just to get done. I wanted to take the time to put my best effort into writing these blogs and writing them with a purpose. This is one of the reasons I have taken a few weeks off posting, because of school, especially these couple weeks with finals and last-minute assignments.
Now, that the semester is over I will have more time to write and put my best effort into this site and other projects I have in mind. My goal with this site is to give motivating content and help people know that everyone can do great things in life, even if we run into obstacles along the way.
